Creating a Password for Your Website
To password protect your web page, you must create a properly formatted htaccess file. For instructions and assistance in creating an htaccess file, please see the Help Desk Central technical support page.

Listing your Web Page in the TAMU Directory:

1. Go to http://gateway.tamu.edu.
2. Click Edit Directory.
3. Log in with your NetID and password.
4. Click Edit next to Personal web page entry.
5. Enter your web address.
6. Click Save.
7. Your web address is now viewable in the TAMU Directory along with your other directory information.
