I received my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – New Delhi in 1998. Thereafter, I worked for ITC Limited, India’s one of top three largest private sector companies, for 2.5 yrs in upper-middle management positions, and Infosys Technologies Ltd., rated by BusinessWeek as amongst the top 3 IT services company in the world, for about 6 months in IT specialist position. In Fall 2001, I started my graduate studies in industrial engineering at Texas A&M University. Currently, I am working on my PhD under the guidance of Dr Brett A. Peters. My research interests are in the areas of stochastic dynamic programming, stochastic programming, meta-heuristic search, and simulation based optimization, with concentration in applications in revenue management, supply chain management, facilities planning and design and material handling systems design.
