This course teaches the “science” in political science. The objective is to provide majors with the tools needed to read and understand high quality political science research presented in future courses, as well as perhaps produce some of their own along the way. This is a “W” course, which means there will be a substantial focus on writing. We will focus on the various aspects of the scientific research process as applied to answering political science research questions and theory development.
