Best places to view the race:
  1. Friday before the race. The "Check In" at San Marcos City Park. Talk to the racers, see their boats, food and equipment up close.

  2. Race starts at 9 AM Sharp, Saturday at San Marcos City Park. View from either side of the river.

  3. Exciting viewing spots: Westerfield, Cotton Seed, Staples Dam (There is a mandatory 3 PM arrival time for all boaters at Staples Dam. The lead boats should be arriving there about 11 AM).

  4. Volunteer -- get first hand knowledge of the racers and their road teams. Volunteers are what makes this race possible. Call (512) 392-2330 for details or to volunteer.

  5. And of course, the finish, 260 miles down river at Seadrift.

  6. For other road crossing information and approximate pace/times see the full Course Description.

Happy trails...
