Here is a short bio!
I was born in
Afyon,
Turkey, in 1979.
I received my B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 2001 and
M.S. in Industrial
Engineering in 2002 from Bogazici
University, Istanbul,
Turkey.
In 2002, I came to College Station to pursue a Ph.D. from the
Department of Industrial
Engineering of the Texas A&M University.
I work with
Dr. Halit Uster and
Dr. Sila Cetinkaya on integration of facility location and inventory decisions
in supply chain management. My research interests include location
and inventory theory, supply chain management, and applied optimization.
I am a student member of the
INFORMS, IIE,
POMS, and
CSCMP. I am one of the
founders and the first president of the
student chapter of INFORMS at Texas
A&M University.
My expected year of graduation is May, 2007.
