Research Projects

The research of Texas A&M biogeographers focuses on how climate, landforms, disturbances, human land use, and biotic factors interact to influence vegetation patterns. The geographical scope ofour work includes the United States (the Rocky Mountains, Appalachian Mountains, Gulf Coastal Plain, Alaska), South America (Peru), and northern Europe (Sweden, Denmark). We utilize a wide range of techniques and disciplinary approaches to investigate spatial ecological questions including landscape genetics, dendrochronology, landscape ecology and simulation modeling.
