INTRODUCTION
I'm a freshman horticulture major at A&M this year. I am also a member of Company D-2 in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.
BACKGROUND
I grew up on a farm just outside of Farmersville, Texas, where my family raises wheat, cattle, quail, and Bermuda hay. I live with my Dad and Mom, sisters Anne and Sara, and my Grandma next door. I recently graduated as valedictorian of Bland High School. While there, I was active in Cross Country, Track, Future Farmers of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Student Council. I also served as class President my junior and senior years.
AGGIELAND
As I mentioned above, I am majoring in horticulture, with hopes of one day owning a landscaping business/tree farm. Also, through the Corps, I am considering the possibility of taking a contract to serve in the United States Army for a little while after college. My life as a fish in the Corps is pretty unexciting now, but that just gives me plenty to look forward to in the future.
INTERESTS
I like most any sport, and I especially enjoy watching the Aggies, Cowboys, and Mavericks. I also like to hunt quail, pheasant, ducks, and dove. I like to read, as long as it's something that I'm interested in. That usually means military, history, or westerns. I don't watch much television, and I'm not real picky on music. Lastly, a recent activity that I've begun to enjoy since joining the Corps is going to bed early. I'll let you connect the dots on that one.
