I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University. My fields are comparative politics and race and ethnic politics. My recent research focuses on voter turnout in sub-Saharan Africa and protest behavior in the Middle East. I am currently in the Republic of Southern Sudan where I (previously) observed the referendum on secession and am working on an ongoing research project. Feel free to check out my blog and pictures.
