David A. M. Peterson

I am an associate professor in the Department of Political Science, at Texas A&M University.  I have been on the faculty here since the Fall of 2000 after finishing my Ph. D. at the University of Minnesota.    My research focuses largely on elections and public opinion.  The questions that really intrigue me focus on how information affects the decisions people (both elected and unelected) make. I have written on campaigns effects, mandate elections, voter learning in campaigns, the different types of attitude strength, and public opinion.
