Project 12: Visually Consistent composited animation as Final Project First Review: Apr. 22
Submissions Due: Apr. 29

Overall Goal:

To learn adding animated artificial objects into your own shots while telling a story.

Synopsis:

This project is intended for you to deal with your own scenes that include variety of practical problems.

Project Description:

You will composite animations of one or more artificial (i.e. CG) objects into the given artificial scenes that are created from your own shots; i.e. image-space proxy geometry and an advanced Barycentric shader that represent materials.

Project Requirements:

  1. Be sure that the shading of the CG object is consistent with overall scene for every shot.
  2. Shadow of the object must look believable.
  3. In other words, shadow colors must match other shadows in the scene. Shadow shape must conform other shapes in the scene.
  4. Be sure reflection, refraction, Fresnel and Caustics looks acceptable.

Bonus:

  1. If the story provides an opportunity move the light. The whole scene can be relighted. If your previous project is successful, this is trivial.

    Project Submission:

Please upload your images to project website for critical review and class discussion.

    General Checklist for projects

: For each project, we will check the following items.

    • Qualitative Consistent matching of artificial object with the lights and objects in the original image
(each subject counted one and they depend on the problem.)
