A new non-photorealistic rendering concept, volume painting is introduced. Volume painting is a three-dimensional generalization of classical painting. In volume painting, brushes move in three-dimensional space by leaving paint objects behind. The material properties of these paint objects are determined by sampling the material properties of space. These samplings provide a noise that creates the painted look. Based on the volume painting concept, prototype volume painting system as a generalization of implicit painting is developed. The images here are created by using this volume painting system. |
