Short Bio

As a chemical engineer, Chinmay wants to gain sufficient insight into the system of interest so as to provide more accurate predictions and better designs using his knowledge of chemical engineering to minimize cost and energy consumption and maximize performance, profits and efficiency. During his master's, his research involved developing a metaheuristic framework to the resource contrained project scheduling problem. During his undergraduate studies, his final year project was to design a small scale biogas purification plant. Prior to joining Texas A&M, Chinmay was a research assistant at West Virginia University for a few months where he worked on developing model formulations to find the optimal product length for carbon capture processes using metal-organic frameworks. Apart from research, Chinmay enjoys learning the piano and outdoor activities such as playing footaball and hiking.
