Faculty Director:

Dr. Jane M. Packard, Associate Professor in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Texas A&M University, has focused on biodiversity stewardship for two decades. She has served on the non-profit boards of the Society for Conservation Biology, Organization for Tropical Studies, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, and Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. After completing a Ph.D. in Ecology and Behavioral Biology at the University of Minnesota, she did a postdoc at the University of Florida. Her B.A. was in Psychology at Swarthmore College. She is a member of the interdisciplinary faculty of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and on the list of faculty in support of the Applied Biodiversity Science program at Texas A&M. Her dedication as an advisor to the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology was recognized by an award in 2008.
