| This page is a temporary
index for developing web pages related to the experiences of Allied
POWs
of the Japanese during WWII. Dedication. This website is dedicated to the memory of my father, Albert W. Erickson, 71st Infantry, Philippine Army. A survivor of the Philippine campaign, the Bataan Death March, Camp O’Donnell, Cabanatuan, and the Hell ships Oryoku Maru, Enoura Maru, and Brazil Maru; his history, and those of his fellow POWs, must not be forgotten. Purpose. The purpose of this site is to provide accurate information to assist descendants of former POWs, historians, and other interested people in learning of the tragedies that befell the prisoners of the Japanese. Information on this site includes POW rosters and summations of those rosters, as well as descriptions and photos of Hell ships and POW camps. The material is freely available for use by individuals or schools for research, or teaching, provided the source is referenced. No material may be used for commercial purposes, or copied to another website, without permission from the web master. |
