Richard Sieggreen IV Aggie Family Relief Fund

Most of you know Donna Sieggreen for her 27 years of faithful dedicated service to Dinning Services here at Texas A&M University. You may think you don’t know her, but if you stop by the 41st Café at the Bush Academic Building you can’t help but notice her. A silent Hero she enthusiastically greets Aggies daily and Visitors with a fresh cup of Duncan Coffee or a much needed snack after an all-nighter. Her Aggie Spirit doesn’t stop there; Donna’s Husband, Richard Sieggreen III Class of 1992 holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is also a Military Veteran.

What most don’t know is that her Son, Richard Sieggreen IV a junior at Local Bryan High School, Eagle Scout, band Member and Wrestler suffered a broken back which will also lead to eventual necessary surgery according to local Doctors. Their insurance only covers a portion of the necessary payment and along with deductibles have therefore placed a burden on such a devoted Family. This compounded with her Husband’s recent Job loss has only added a sense of urgency to compounding problems.

The Delta Chi Fraternity has recently set up a method for those interested in helping the Sieggreen Family through these times to let them know their devotion to the Aggie Family has not gone unnoticed. “Aggies take care of our own. It’s what we do -- it’s what Gentlemen do.” says David Gerrity, President of Delta Chi Fraternity at Texas A&M.

On the list of necessary items for therapy, possible donation of van with Wheel Chair Lift and equipment for Richard Sieggreen IV, future proud member to-be of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2017. This is just one more way Aggies are making a difference in our Community, our City and our State. “[We’re] true to each other as a Family should be…a Family because we believe that living for something greater than ourselves is the only life worth living.” Says Jeff Pickering the 2011-2012 Student body President at the Academic Convocation at Reed Arena.
