    • STEM career exploration conference for 6th grade female students from the local B/CS community
    • ~20-60 middle schoolers participated in this half-day hands-on workshop at the PI’s Lab (MGBTL)
  • Workshop Organizing Team, Research Experiences for Teachers (RET): Enhancing Teacher Knowledge & Skills in Modern Manufacturing (Sponsor: NSF), Texas A&M University, 6 summer weeks (2018)
    • 12 middle/high school teachers from the local ISDs were hosted for a 6-week resident program each year
    • Activities included  intensive 2-week hands-on training in traditional/advanced manufacturing principles
  • Workshop Organizer, Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU): Interdisciplinary Research Experiences in Metrology & Non-Destructive Inspection (Sponsor: NSF), Texas A&M University, 10 summer weeks (2018; 2017)
    • 10 undergraduates from 2/4-year US educational institutions were hosted for a 10-weeks each year
    • Activities included  two half-day workshops in (i) Metrology Labs, & (ii) Non-Destructive Inspection Labs
  • Workshop Organizing Team, Innovative Technology Experiences for Students & Teachers (ITEST): Connected STEM - Promoting STEM Education through Connected Devices & Building Automation (Sponsor: NSF), Texas A&M University, Annual 2-week workshop (Jul. 23 - Aug. 3, 2018; Jul. 24 - Aug. 4, 2017)
    • 12 high school teachers from the local ISDs were hosted for a 2-week resident STEM workshop each year
    • Workshop activities included  STEM instruction & curriculum development to be implemented in schools
  • Workshop Organizing Team, Making in The Colonias: Motivating STEM Participation through Making as Micro-Manufacture (Sponsor: NSF), Texas A&M University, On-site workshop (Nov. 11-13, 2017; Mar. 1-5, 2017)
    • 6 high schoolers & 2 teachers from an underserved Colonias region (Bruini ISD) were hosted each year
    • Workshop activities included  apprenticeship-based student instruction & teacher training in STEM
  • Station Coordinator – NASCAR Station, Gateway To Technology Program (GTT) Outreach Day, Clemson University - International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), Greenville, SC, May 17, 2011
    • ~80 middle schoolers (6th & 7th graders) from the local community participated in the day-long workshop
    • Coordinated NASCAR race station education & activities for LEGO cars fabricated by the students

    • Introduced & assisted middle schoolers in metal cutting & related hands-on engineering tasks

    • ~10 high-schoolers from the local community participated in each of the half-day sessions
    • Introduced CNC codes & demonstrated machining/robotics operations to high school students
