Mustafa Alper YILDIZ

I am a PhD candidate at Texas A&M University Nuclear Engineering department specialized in computational fluid dynamics.

What I Do

I am a part of a thermal-hydraulic research group in the Nuclear Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. My academic research interests include fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and machine learning. In my Ph.D. project, I investigated flow behavior in a helical coil steam generator. During my graduate studies, I worked on numerous projects related to the design and safety analysis of nuclear reactors. Previously, I was a researcher at TOBB ETU Hydro Energy Research Center. In this role, I contributed to the CFD based design of a silent bathroom fan and design of a turbine test section.

Aerial Photography

I am an aerial photographer. I got my first drone in 2017. I have 30 hours of total flight time with 720,000 ft total flight distance. In 2019, I got my first DSLR camera. I like to shoot landscape and architecture photos. You can follow my instagram account where I share photos from my drone and camera.
