Hello my name is Matthew Barrera and I am from Waco,TX. I am now a senior Horticulture at Texas A&M and plan to graduate May 2010. Let me take this time to tell you why I chose Horticulute as my major.Ever since I can remember I have grown up with a family that has had a passion for nature and the beautiful scenery that it provides. As I grew older I realized horticulture was something I wanted to be involved in for the rest of my life and something I wanted to study in college. I decided to study Horticulture at Texas A&M because I wanted to be apart of a school that had strong tradition and high makes in my field of study.
Since I have been at Texas A&M I have gained incredible knowledge in all areas of Horticulture. College has also given me incite on what direction I might what to head once I do graduate.I am very proud of what A&M has taught me and hope to share my knowledge with fellow horticulturist in the furture.
