I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University. I have previously held research fellowships at Harvard University (2007-08) and the Council on Foreign Relations (2010-11). My research and teaching focuses on international security, foreign policy, and international institutions. I am particularly interested in the role of military power in international politics: How and why do military technologies spread? What effect does the global diffusion of military power have on the way that countries behave? Much of my existing research probes these questions by examining the politics of nuclear proliferation. I am the author of Atomic Assistance: How “Atoms for Peace” Programs Cause Nuclear Insecurity (Cornell University Press, 2012) and the co-editor of The Nuclear Renaissance and International Security (Stanford University Press, 2013). My work has been published or conditionally accepted in peer reviewed journals such as American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Political Science, International Organization, International Security, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Journal of Peace Research. |
