About My Music:

I am self-taught on a variety of instruments and never had a single lesson. I play the Piano/Keyboard, Ukulele, Guitar, Harmonica, Irish Tin Whistle, and I sing. I am currently learning the Violin, the Chinese and Western Flute, and relearning the Recorder. I have also taken one music theory course in 2006. During this time, my musical composition skills have shot off. With it being years later, I still take what I have learned in the theory course, and apply it to all my music.

Select Song Descriptions:

Simple Gifts:
The original folk song has been a favorite of mine for a very long time. After a year, I now have my own arrangement for a concert symphony.

Make Haste:
This song was inspired by Klaus Badelt's "He's a Pirate".

Serene Tranquility:
This song was written for a friend was involved in a fatal car accident and was in a medically induced coma.

Reflections - Movement 2:
This was the first symphonic piece I have composed, and it took me two full days to write. It has a very simple melody that repeats throughout the song and only gets stronger. Towards the middle, the piece takes a different route and creates more of a dramatic effect that lasts for the rest of the song. I hope you enjoy one of my favorite pieces.

Reflections - Movement 4:
Originally composed for a string quartet, this piece took a new shape and direction. With a cannon feel to the song, the melody allowed for multiple parts to be added to the chord progression to create a much larger meaning while still remaining simple to play.
