Chassis Bracing

This chassis is known for being rather flexible and very sensitive to torsional loads at the shock tower (extreme cornering). Since the goal is to build a car that has total balance, this needed to be rectified. Step one to this goal is usually achieved by utilizing bars that link the front and rear shock towers together. This tie bar is known as a strut tower brace. Comparatively cheap and easy to install, they are a great foundation for a stiffer chassis. I chose Cusco built, Nismo branded units from the early 1990s. The front must be shaped to fit over the unique valve cover, so there are very few CA18DET compatible units left out there. Sourced from Japan, these units are very rare and add some exclusivity to a common part.
