The Nismo radiator cap has a higher psi rating than the stock cap (stock is .7bar, Nismo cap is 1.3bar of pressure) This simply means that cap will open at a higher pressure. Many do not realize that the cap is a very important regulatory valve in the cooling system, as it opens when the pressue is too high in the system (fluid expands when heated) and to keep from blowing out a hose.

Lots of tuners will make a big deal out of adding a simple air filter (called a pod or cone filter) that replaces the admittedly restrictive air intake system. Adds little power on its own, but aids in turbo spool and allows the sounds of intake (whooshes) to be heard, so I guess some folks enjoy that. Simple K&N filter.

The water temperature gauge needs a sensor to be able to determine the temperature. There are several ways to install the sender, but this is the easiest. A GReddy water temperature adapter is installed by splicing into the upper radiator hose, and the sensor is installed in a port. Easy install, that saves a lot of welding! You can pick one up from SPL Parts . Make sure that you get a 34mm one!

In the same manner as the water temperature sensor adapter allows for easy installation of a temperature sensor, a fitting can be spliced into the fuel feed line to get a proper fuel pressure reading. This is important for tuning in that pressure needs to be high enough to maintain continual flow, but not so high that it overwhelms the regulator and the car runs rich. All fittings can once again be found at SPL Parts. The gauge is another Autometer Pro Comp Ultra Lite.

An oil cooler is utilized in order to maintain proper oil temperatures…a very difficult task in Texas summers. The cooler itself if a 6”x11” B&M unit, consisting of 26 rows of cooling fins. Also included is a oil filter relocation setup that makes changing the filter that much easier.

The center of the cooling system consists of a 2.1”, dual core, Koyo aluminum radiator. The larger cores and increased capacity is sure to maintain lower temps while tracking the car.

Zirgo electric fan in 16" diameter. The 14" would fit better, but the 16" offers 2700CFM of flow. However, it is an extreme drain on the battery (~20amps) so I would reccomend installing both a thermostat as well as a kill switch. Left running with car off this fan can kill the battery in mere moments! Look to eBay for a set.
