About Me:

I am currently a sixth-year student in the Industrial-Organizational Psychology Ph.D. Program at Texas A&M University. In 2011, I graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN with a B.A. in Psychology. After graduation, I worked as a mental health counselor, assisting individuals afflicted with a variety of serious and persistent mental illnesses. I later transitioned to working in human resources, and developed a passion for I-O Psychology while working as a corporate recruiter for U.S. Bank, NA. When I am not working on research, I enjoy watching movies, reading, cooking, gaming, and checking out local breweries and restaurants.

Research Interests:

My primary research interest is employees' attitudes towards and reactions to wearable monitoring devices in the workplace. Another area of interest is the impact of an organization's safety climate on individual intentions to report errors and near misses in the workplace. Additional areas of interest include the use of new technologies in selection and performance appraisal, and best practices for the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of procedures in high-reliability industries.
