Homework and Quizzes
Some graded homework assignments will be completed online at http://www.ilrn.com
using your iLrn/ThomsonNow computer account, while others may be given in a traditional take-home fashion. Quizzes will be taken in class approximately once per week. In addition, there will be a list of suggested homework problems that will not be collected for a grade, but will be important for doing well in the course. These problems are available at /~ramsey/homework166.html.

Calculators
The TI-83, TI-83 Plus, or TI-84 graphing calculator is required for this course. Use of any other calculator is not allowed. The only programs you will be allowed to have on your calculator are those (if any) that I give you in class. All other programs must be erased from your calculator prior to exams and quizzes.

Attendance
Regular attendance is expected but is not officially recorded. If you miss class, you may miss a quiz or fall behind, and this could hurt your final grade.

Make-up policy
Make-ups for missed work will only be allowed for a university approved excuse in writing. Wherever possible, you should inform me prior to missing an exam. Consistent with University Student Rules, students are required to notify an instructor by the end of the second working day after the absence. Otherwise, the rights to a make-up are forfeited.

Extra help
Please feel free to ask questions in class or to see me in my office for extra help. In addition, there are many other ways to get help for this course: help sessions, week-in-review sessions, and streaming videos. The help sessions begin the second week of classes and have drop-in hours where you can get help with your homework or other problems. The week-in-reviews will start the second week of classes and be held Monday nights 7-9 pm in Blocker 158. These review sessions will be held every week except for weeks following exam weeks, and will cover the material taught in class the previous week. The practice problems for the week-in-reviews are available at /~ramsey/166wir06c.html. Please print these problems and bring them with you to the review. The streaming videos are at /teaching/helpsession/streaming.html.

An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal or tolerate those who do.
The Aggie Code of Honor is an effort to unify the aims of all Texas A&M men and women toward a high code of ethics and personal dignity. For most, living under this code will be no problem, as it asks nothing of a person that is beyond reason. It only calls for honesty and integrity, characteristics that Aggies have always exemplified. The Aggie Code of Honor functions as a symbol to all Aggies, promoting understanding and loyalty to truth and confidence in each other. Violations of the Aggie Honor Code and the handling of such violations are discussed at the web site http://www.tamu.edu/aggiehonor.
