Dr. Yue Zhang

Dr. Yue Zhang, Ph.D.

Dr. Zhang is an assistant professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University. The main focus in his research group is to characterize the chemical and physical properties of emerging species as well as organic aerosols from a physical chemistry perspective and to study how such interactions affect the reactivity and climate properties of aerosol particles.

Prior to joining Texas A&M, Dr. Yue Zhang was an National Science Foundation (NSF) postdoctoral fellow at UNC-Chapel Hill. He worked with Professor Jason Surratt's group at UNC-Chapel Hill, Professor Andrew Ault's group at the University of Michigan, Professor Dan Cziczo's group at Purdue University and MIT, as well as Aerodyne Research and Boston College (Professor Paul Davidovits) on multiple collaborative projects.

Dr. Zhang graduated from Harvard University with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the lab of Professor Scot Martin and has strong physical/analytical chemistry as well as engineering expertise.

Dr. Zhang was awarded with University of North Carolina Postdoctoral Award for Research Excellence, 14th Atmospheric Chemistry Colloquium for Emerging Senior Scientists (ACCESS XIV), U.S. National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship, NIH Postdoc Training Grant, and other awards.
