RESEARCH: Southern Ocean

Ongoing research in the Southern Ocean is largely based on a collaboration with Dr. Sarah Fawcett at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. The work seeks to document differences in the isotope effect for NO₃^- assimilation throughout the region, as well as to look for evidence for DON production and consumption with an isotope effect.
