MATH 302 Discrete Mathematics (Fall 2020)

Textbook: ``Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications'', 8th edition, by Kenneth H. Rosen. McGraw Hill, ISBN 978-1-259-67651-2.

 

 

Course Description: This class is about discrete math. Topics include formal structures for describing data, algorithms and computing devices, theory and applications of sets, graphs and algebraic structures. We will cover most of sections in Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 in the textbook.

 

 

Prerequisites: MATH 148, MATH 152 or MATH 172.
