Comments: both papers looked fine.. but we were looking for the method
we did in class, i.e. put them in matrix form and find the reverse, etc.
INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT: Matrix notation was not required, but it was
required that the calculation be correct! Both authors tried to find
[partial] du/dx by differentiating an equation assuming v constant, and to
find dv/dx by differentiating the same equation assuming u constant. But
both u and v are functions of x and y. You need to differentiate both
given equations with respect to x and solve the result for the two partial
derivatives. This is equivalent to the matrix method.
