  Comments:
The variation of answers from all five papers suggest that the students
don't quite have a complete grasp on inner products.  Some would use the
three properties of positivity, symmetry, and bilinearity, but forget
about the integral not converging or what a well defined inner product is.

INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  The paper originally chosen by the reviewers is OK,
but John's is better.  I think the reviewers misread one of his sentences and
saw a mistake that was not there.
