INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  The published solution says, "... although the
rows are in reverse order from normal ... the determinant is still given
as the product of the diagonal."  This is correct, but the reason is
nontrivial.  (The problem is whether there might be an overall minus sign.
Precisely what happens is different, depending on the dimension.  See
the final exam test key for this semester.)
