Math. 311 Fall 1998 HOMEWORK SUMMARY REPORT Week number: 12 Problem number: 7.6.14 Number of papers received: 4 Reviewing committee (Greek letter): Phi List all participating members: Chase Berry and James Reese Author[s] of paper[s] chosen for publication: M. Shakeel Qureshi Comments: His paper was clear and had the correct limits of integration. INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT: The paper did not make clear why the integral over the flat bottom side of the hemisphere is zero. (Remember that Gauss's theorem requires a CLOSED surface.) Nevertheless, I published this paper and another one that evaluated the flux integral directly.
