Math. 311 Spring 2000 HOMEWORK SUMMARY REPORT Assignment number: 12 Problem number: 7.6.7 Number of papers received: 2 Reviewing committee (Greek letter): Kappa List all participating members: Jason Kruppa, David Sutherland Author[s] of paper[s] chosen for publication: Kurtis Williamson Comments: Both students submitted well documented and correct solutions. The solution Kurtis submitted was excellent. A change of coordinates was performed on the triple integral to compute the flux through the sphere, and then an alternate solution, the one you were probably looking for was given, where it is seen that the divergence is 1, so the flux is just the volume of the sphere. This paper is much more complete with this second solution included.
