Comments:

Chris's solution looks correct; he used the eigenvalues to obtain 
the eigenvectors.  He then used the Gram-Schmidt process to make them
orthonormal.  It appears to be correct.

I'm not quite sure of [the other] solution.  I do see that he obtained both
eigenvalues, but I'm not sure of the process used or the solutions
proposed.
