Comments: All three of the papers received showed that they understood the
concept of linearity as it is applied to functionals.  They all correctly
answered parts a, b, and c, but two of the papers did not get part d for
the same reason.  Both of these papers wrongly determined the function for
which they were to test the linearity, applying the test not only to p(t),
but also to t itself.
 
The papers were all neatly done and easy to follow.

GRADER'S AND INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  Actually, the confusion was more
widespread than the report indicates.  The other authors uniformly tried
to consider p(t_1 + t_2) instead of F(p_1 + p_2), where F is the 
functional in question.
