Comments: Both of these papers were correct and well explained.  We chose
James's for publication because he used the method that was explained in
the accompanying section.  The other paper used column reduction, which
has not yet been covered at this point in the book.
                                                                                

INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  Let's publish both.  They demonstrate two different 
ways of analyzing the problem.
