Comments: All submitted solutions used the k-th column rule, although no
solution directly mentioned this fact. The paper chosen was selected for
being more complete than the others and for having a check of the
solution. The author of the chosen paper was advised to add the
calculations of the L-operator on components of P1. All submitted
solutions were in good shape.
                                 
INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  I published both papers because Raymond gave the 
calculus details (what the reviewers asked Brian to add) and Brian had a 
more complete explanation of the linear algebra.
