One of our papers was not accurate and the other one was accurate but
somewhat hard to follow the reasoning. For clarification, the paper chosen
will need some revision although it seems that he understood what he was
doing.

INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  (1) I think the other paper was closer to
acceptable, but it needs some revision for clarity.

(2) Here is a simple argument for part (c) (surjectivity):  By definition 
of Gf as an integral, any function of the form h = Gf satisfies h(0) = 0.
So, all functions in the range of G vanish at the origin, and hence G is 
certainly not surjective.
