Comments: It appears that many people in the class are having trouble
understanding the concepts of range and kernel.  2 of the papers correctly
solved Part A, but there were no excellent solutions to Part B.  They were
all hard to follow and not thoroughly explained.
                                                                                
INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  I recommend David's paper for part A and Raymond's
(after some revision for clarity) for part B.
