Comments: The two papers were very similar.  We chose Chris's because it
seemed more clear.  Also, the other paper included a statement that
we felt was a result of the given scenario rather than a condition to
guarantee its existence.
                               
INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  None of the papers is quite adequate, nor is the 
one on the Web already.  Both authors are invited to revise.  Chris did 
not address the "holes in space" issue.  Nicole's paper is subject to the 
reviewer's criticism, but her conditions are indeed sufficient for the 
conclusion (although stronger than necessary).
