Comments:
We did not receive a solution that was done using the requested method.
Both received seemed to use only the projection method rather than
parametrization.  This is the first time that we have not received what we
believe to be an acceptable solution.  We will therefore submit a an
answer of our own.

INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT:  This is my fault -- the instructions for the 
problem are not clear.  By "parametric" I did mean a projection approach, 
as opposed to the "normal vector and surface area" approach in Sec. 7.4.  
The two papers chose different planes to project upon, so both are 
interesting.
