Math. 311 Spring 1999 HOMEWORK SUMMARY REPORT Assignment number: 5 Problem number: 4.1.10 Number of papers received: 6 Reviewing committee (Greek letter): zeta List all participating members: Alan Hale, Matt Webster Author[s] of paper[s] chosen for publication: Jason Glenn [and ...] [removed at student's request] Comments: All answers were correct. Several were typed and posted on the Web. It was difficult to choose one out of the several good papers. INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT: I published ...'s paper also, because the row reduction was more systematic. Jason's solution is correct, but directed at producing a row of zeros by any means possible, rather than a standard reduction to echelon form.
