Math. 311 Spring 1999 HOMEWORK SUMMARY REPORT Assignment number: 11 Problem number: 7.1.2 Number of papers received: 6 Reviewing committee (Greek letter): mu List all participating members: Alan Hale, Allen Thomson Author[s] of paper[s] chosen for publication: [removed at student's request] Comments: there was one guy whom we assume had not done the problem until friday, ( I can explain if you're interested ) Overall there were nice papers. INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT: Only one person (not the one published) noticed that there is a problem when r = s. (When the determinant is 0, Cramer's rule is inapplicable.) What does the reviewers' peculiar comment mean? I suspect that it means that some people are waiting until the old solutions are available and then essentially copying them right before class. Surely no further comment is really necessary from me.
