Comments: Todd and Susan's paper were the best overall, but we went with
Todd's paper because we thought it was the clearest to read. Assuming we
solved the problem correctly, only 2 out of 6 papers had the correct
solution (with one paper not having been submitted).
GRADER'S AND INSTRUCTOR'S COMMENT: The reviewers and several authors did
this problem incorrectly and got an answer, usually sin(3x - 12t), that
does not satisfy the given boundary condition! When you set w(x,t) =
w(0,t_0), t_0 is the value such that (0,t_0) is on the same characteristic
as (x,t) (not the constant obtained in the previous integration step).
Thus the solution is - sin(3x/4 - 3t).
