The Mathematics Genealogy Project - Gian-Carlo Rota

Gian-Carlo Rota's advisor was Jacob T. Schwartz (Yale MA 1955, PhD 1956). Schwartz' advisor was Dunford. Dunford's advisor was Tamarkin. Finally, we believe that Tamarkin's advisor was Markov and Markov's advisor was Chebyscheff.
I don't claim that this family tree is complete and correct. If you know any information that is missing, or wrong, I would be happy to update this family tree. For instance, it would be be nice to know the order in which the students graduated.
