Conference at Texas A&M University from January 31, 2025 to February 2, 2025. Welcome to the conference webpage!
The two primary goals of the conference are
(i) to expose graduate students and young researchers at A&M
and in the region to current research in commutative algebra,
and (ii) to bring open questions in commutative algebra arising
in applications to the attention of core commutative
algebraists.
Format: There will be an initial one hour talk Friday
afternoon by Matteo Varbaro. On Saturday and Sunday there will
be four two-part talks (each totaling 40 × 2 = 80 minutes), with
the first part being elementary and setting a context for the
research part of the talk. In addition to the lectures, there
will be a session describing open problems in commutative
algebra arising from application areas such as classical linear
algebra and complexity theory. Extended abstracts of the talks
are below.
Speakers: Hai Long Dao, University of Kansas. | Linquan Ma, Purdue University. | Anurag Singh, University of Utah. | Matteo Varbaro, U. Genova. | Emily Witt, University of Kansas.
