I am a third year PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University. My advisor is Dr. Stephan Wojtowytsch. My research interests lie broadly in machine learning, from a mathematical perspective. You can find more information on my background in my CV.
I am currently serving as the Texas A&M Institute for Data Science Ambassador to the Department of Mathematics as well as the Secretary of the student chapter of Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
Before Texas A&M, I was at Ashoka University where I completed my undergraduate studies with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. Afterwards, I did a year-long postgraduate diploma in research at Ashoka University, for which I wrote an expository thesis on K-Theory and C*-Algebras.
Outside of mathematics, I am interested in Urdu poetry (also known as Hindi poetry). I am always keen to discuss poets or read some ghazals or nazms. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to chat about some Hindi-Urdu poetry.
