Math 220 Writing Assignment 6
due Tuesday 05/03/2016
The goal of this assignment is to revise and proofread your
draft (based on the grader and peers comments ) in order to get a
polished presentation.
-
Step 1: Revise the whole draft acting on grader's comments/questions. Find what FITS and what doesn't. ADD to develop and clarity. CUT what doesn't help.
-
Step 2: Revise the whole draft acting on your peer's responces. '' Remember, that as a writer, you are trying to communicate with your readers, and this means taking seriously the problems they identify. Of course, it is up to YOU to decide which responses are appropriate, but even inappropriate criticism sometimes sets off a train of thought that leads to good ideas for revision.'' [1]
-
-
Step 4: To submit the paper you will need a two-pocket folder
Buy a new one, or use an old one, or get one from me (during office hours).
-
Step 5: Put your final paper (staple it!) into the left
pocket of the folder and you paper outline (with all my comments) and
all three drafts (with grader's and peer's comments) into the right
pocket of the folder. Bring the organized folder to class on Tuesday 05/03.
-
Step 6: Submit an electronic version via e-Campus to Turnitin by Wednesday noon 05/04.
- Note that a paper that does not meet requrements of steps 4,5,6 will be ungraded (zero points will be earned in that case).
