Personal
Hanson Yu is
an undergraduate student at
TAMU
pursuing a
BS in Computer Science
and a
BS in Applied Mathematical Sciences, Cryptography Emphasis
with
minor in Statistics.
He is also concurrently completing his
Masters of Science in Computer Science with Thesis under professor
Yupeng Zhang.
His undergraduate studies is fully funded by a full award merit based scholarship given by the Brockman Foundation. He is a member of the University Honors and Engineering Honors program with departmental honors in Computer Science and Mathematics.
At Texas A&M, he is actively involved with the
Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA)
serving as a member of the planning committee as well as with competing for the
Table Tennis Club.
Education
Hanson grew up in Katy, Texas attending public schools in Katy ISD. After freshman year at Seven Lakes High School, he transferred to St. John's School, a private high school, where he graduated in 2019.
Hanson is set to graduate with a BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in Fall of 2022. He is set to graduate with a BS in Applied Mathematical Sciences, Cryptography Emphasis with minor in Statistics in Spring 2023.
Hanson will receive a Masters of Science in Computer Science with Thesis track from Texas A&M University in Spring 2023 under Professor Yupeng Zhang's supervision.
