In my free time I participate in a number of service projects in my hometown and the College Station community.
Each week I enjoy volunteering at the Bryan Animal Shelter, where I enjoy walking and playing with their dogs.
I also volunteer for Texas A&M's Math Circle, which meets each weekend to introduce fractions, algebra, square roots, and other math concepts to a small group of curious elementary and middle school students. I typically work as a facilitator, so I drift around the room and guide the students through practice problems or concepts they are struggling with.
Each year I also visit TAMU BUILD, an organization that designs and constructs Texas Aggie Medical Clinics from converted shipping containers.
When in my hometown during breaks, I volunteer as a shift supervisor at the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry, where I help to manage the team of volunteers during food distribution and work with customers to get them checked in.
