Technical Areas of Interest
- Parallel Computing: I'm fascinated by parallel computing's ability to speed up complex tasks through concurrent processing. My workplace uses OpenMP and MPI frequently, and I want to understand how they work, so I’m eager to learn more about parallel computing.
- Cloud Computing: Cloud computing excites me for its scalability and global accessibility. I’ve visited our campus West Data Center, and I’m amazed by its structure and size. I’m interested in how cloud computing can be applied to big data and machine learning to create efficient solutions.
- Computer Architecture: After taking CSCE 312 with professor
E.J. Kim,
I desire to have a deeper understanding in pipeline architecture. In all the CS classes that I've taken so far, she's the best professor I've ever had. I’m also interested in High Performance Computing (HPC), and I'm going to compete in the
Student Cluster Competition (SC24).
